If your dad loves a good boat day, take him on this special cruise, which winds through Lake Union and Lake Washington. There are many meaningful ways to celebrate the significance of Juneteenth National Independence Day, and one way you can do it is by spending it with friends and family outside. To honor the federal holiday, the National Park Service will offer free entrance to all parks. This includes our local favorite, Mount Rainier National Park, which is a short two-hour drive from Seattle.

If you prefer to watch professional golfing up close, and not on a TV screen, head to the KPMG Women’s PGA Championship tournament. Where: Seward Park


Welcome the first few days of summer by getting active, like this family-friendly marathon. For any skill level, there are many options to participate whether it’s 5K, 10K, or a half marathon. There’s also a Kids Fun Run, which is a simple 1K sprint.

Catch An All-Star Basketball Game

When: June 28, 2024 (7 pm)

Where: Climate Pledge Arena


This basketball game brings together local Seattle celebrities, athletes, and community leaders for a good cause. The Champions of Change Foundation, founded by sports icons Doug Baldwin, Cliff Avril, and Michael Bennet, is hosting an All-Star game to work towards its mission of uniting communities and empowering underserved populations. Tickets are just $10 each and go towards the foundation’s partners.
